Monsters are in the mail again. This time they are headed to Hope Gallery in Bristol, Rhode Island. I've never been to Rhode Island so I am letting my monsters check out the state for me. For real though, they're headed to Hope Gallery to be part of the February "Colors of Love" show. If you happen to live around Bristol, Check it out! More information can be found on the Hope Gallery Website if you'd like to purchase one of these critters.
[They're actually much bigger than the monsters I usually make and they're all hand-knit from wool] Hey everyone... Change of date on the Northwood Elementary show: It has been pushed back a week until Saturday December 11, 9am - 4 pm. West Seneca got blessed with over 3 ft of snow these past 2 days and it stunk. People have been stuck on the 90 for over 24 hrs... it even made national news. Anyway, I changed the info under the EVENTS tab. So, if you were planning to stop by that event, don't come this weekend, come next weekend instead. I'm going to go build an igloo. Maybe I'll have another snowday tomorrow.
Ice cube in the toilet, penny in the freezer and pjs inside out and backward. I said it on facebook already, but I'll say it here too... a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came yesterday. Lots of monsters found new homes :)
I always wonder about the lives of all the knit monsters who find new families. If you bought a monster, put a picture up on my facebook page, I'd LOVE to see them! :) www.facebook.com/erinmakesstuff.monsters Hi everyone... well, today is almost tomorrow and tomorrow is that big show I've mentioned in almost every post since this site came to being. Women's Gifts is TOMORROW. Yikes, TOMORROW! November 13th from 10am - 5pm at 341 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo, NY. If you mention that you read this, I'll give you a sticker. For real. I have erinmakesstuff monster stickers and they're pretty sweet. Anyway, Here are some of the new creations making their first craft show appearances tomorrow. And there's much more... including massive amounts of knit ornaments [and I still have some ceramic owl ornaments too!] Hope to see you there.
Again, here's the link for more info on Women's Gifts: buffalowomensgifts.com Hello again!
Women's Gifts is this weekend and I'm pretty excited. Buffalo Spree did a write up about the show in their Forever Young paper... which is for senior citizens so I hope the 50+ crowd of B'lo likes monsters! I'm featured! It was really awesome to open up a paper and see pictures of my work. Really, it made my day! Click HERE to read the article on foreveryoungwny.com. In the past week I've had quite a few orders for custom knit Monstapi... all of which needed the more kid-friendly felt/locking safety eye version instead of buttons. I've finished two so far and there is still another that is in progress. They turned out so bright and colorful!
And here are some pictures from the small craft show I did last weekend: My next event isn't until next month, but I'm certain it will be a great show! It's the Buffalo Women's Gifts Show at Ashbury Hall on Delaware Avenue. November 13th, 10am-5pm! Click the logo below for more details on their website!
This past weekend erinmakesstuff's monsters attended Lovin' Cup's Lov-A-Palooza! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the fall day! Read more about it HERE.
